The other day a friend of mine asked me if I had done a blog on what Papa Bear and I packed in our hospital bags and I felt ridiculous because I hadn’t even thought to do a blog about this! Here we go, this is the full list of everything we packed in our hospital bag to deliver Baby Bear. I made my list in Wonderlist because I love this app!

Pro Tip #1: pack all things for the baby in your partner’s bag, that way they aren’t sifting through it trying to get to what you need during labor.

Pro Tip #2: If a loved one overs to bring something for you have them stop by the local donut shop and pick up and dozen with a carafe of coffee. Bring this to the nurse’s station because they are SUPERSTARS and deserve a treat and some good coffee. We ended up doing three of these; one for Labor and Delivery, one for the recovery nurses, and one for NICU. Baby Bear was never omitted to NICU but he hung out there for a few hours.

Some Momma’s out there might think we packed too much, that is totally fine but we liked having all of this! We had the diffuser going the ENTIRE time we were at the hospital and all the nurses loved it. They said it was brilliant and were always coming in our room just to hang out. We had the speaker playing Yanni 24/7 too so it was a very peaceful place. Then because we had donuts and coffee delivered to the nurses we got extra time with them, which as new parents we took full advantage of and asked 12,034,827,234,987,973 questions.

Does anyone have any different items they found helpful in their hospital bags? We know we want more children so I will probably keep tweaking this list until the last minute. Let me know what items you couldn’t have lived without.
